What you’ll do
Welcome to our sewing and creative studio! These classes are specifically designed for people with disabilities who want to learn sewing, express their creativity, and connect with others in a supportive and inviting environment. Our goal is to provide an individualised approach to meet your unique needs while fostering mental well-being and social connections.
Our facilities
We’ve created a welcoming and fully accessible space to ensure comfort and ease for everyone:
- Spacious, ground-floor studio with safety features (2 entrances)
- Fully wheelchair-accessible layout for effortless movement
- Comfortable resting area
- Kitchen and two restrooms in the studio
- Disabled restroom located on level3 (easy access via lift)
- Air conditioning for a pleasant environment
Class highlights
- Suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced
- Small group size (maximum of 6 participants) for personalised attention
- Inclusive of ready-to-use sewing machines, essential tools, a variety of fabrics to purchase in the studio, and patterns tailored to your project needs
Knowledge required
No prior skills required. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have sewing experience, our supportive environment will help you unlock your creative potential, boost your confidence, and achieve wonderful results.
What you’ll learn
- Sewing clothes and various projects from scratch
- Clothing repair and restoration techniques
- The art of quilting and hand stitching
- Confidently using and operating sewing machines
- Working with patterns, cutting, and handling different fabric types

Safety Terms and Conditions
By booking and attending any class or workshop at Galina’s Sewing & Creative Studio, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
Your safety is our top priority. All necessary safety instructions for the use of sewing machines, sewing tools, and ironing equipment will be provided at the start of each session. It is your responsibility to listen carefully, follow all directions, and exercise caution throughout the class.
All NDIS participants must be accompanied by their social worker during each session to ensure appropriate support and supervision.
By purchasing and attending a sewing class, you accept full responsibility for:
- Your own safety and wellbeing during the class
- Proper use of all equipment and tools provided
- Any loss or damage to your personal belongings
- Any personal injury or accident that may occur during the session
By attending any class, you agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Galina’s Sewing & Creative Studio, its owners, employees, contractors, and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, or demands related to any injury, loss, or damage that may occur as a result of your participation.
Participation in sewing and creative activities involves certain risks. By booking and attending a class, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily assuming all risks, known or unknown, associated with these activities
