Hi, I'm Galina! I’m passionate about teaching people of all ages and skill levels how to sew—whether you're a young beginner, a hobbyist seeking a creative outlet, or an aspiring professional looking to perfect your skills.
With over 25 years of experience in fashion and design, After completing my degree, I worked for a number of fashion designers, producing a wide variety of garments. I worked closely with couture designers and textiles artists from around the world, contributing to some super-exciting fashion projects. Following seasonal and technological trends, I gained a broad range of experience, and it’s a time I look back on fondly. My experience in creative spaces encouraged me to complete my Master's Degree in Marketing.
Over the past 10 years since relocating to Australia, I’ve built a strong network in Sydney and successfully run several small businesses, specialising in creating custom garments for clients. I also own a dressmaking studio and have had the privilege of showcasing my collections in renowned galleries across Sydney.
I also consult with fashion startups, assisting with sample creation, design patents, and manufacturing relationships.
My passion for teaching grew from working with my children and their friends, helping them learn to sew and developing their creative skills. This experience sparked my interest in teaching classes, workshops and courses for both new and experienced sewers. Im delighted to persue my passion in my new creative studio in Rosebery.
